The 303rd Infantry (Brown Eagle) Brigade in the Philippine Army held some sort of peace advocacy symposium for many students from the University of St. La Salle-Bacolod as part of the Calmness Consciousness Month celebration inside the province.
The symposium was held in coordination with the National Program Training Program (NSTP) of the university by means of its Director Teresa Villanueva, the Institute for Negros Development with Overseer Rhoderick Samonte and the Balayan, the extension application of the university through Home Ann Gladys Ponteras.
Colonel Oscar Lactao,Nike Foamposite, Brigade Commander of the 303rd Infantry (Brown Novelty helmet) Brigade,Nike Total Air Foamposite, in his talk emphasized the advocacy and responsibility from the Philippine Army in telling the youth about wary machinations of other groups.
This is our advocacy and our accountability to inform so you will have much better judgment up to what degree you should be as a student-activist, Lactao said.
In the mean time, Samonte in his welcome speech pointed out that peace is not just the simply absence of war.
There can be no war, but still we can experience non-peace. Peace and peace tasks are not just an option for us but a majority importantly it is a demand of our Christian faith, Samonte added,Nike Air Foamposite.
A symposium aims to inform the childhood on how they can be a vital part in promoting peace in the domain.
